Architecture & Engineering Precision
for Mission-Critical Aerospace & Defense
From international airport terminals to active manufacturing floors, Plump Engineering brings architecture and engineering to aerospace and defense facilities where precision is non-negotiable.
Services for Aerospace & Defense Industries
Plump Engineering, Inc. (PEI) brings decades of multi-disciplinary engineering experience to airside, terminal, and high-consequence manufacturing environments. Through close coordination across Architecture, Structural, MEP, Civil Engineering, and Land Surveying, we support complex capital projects from initial concept through final commissioning.
Whether serving as lead design firm or collaborating alongside specialized defense contractors, technology partners, and public agencies, our focus remains on precision, regulatory compliance, and seamless execution in mission-critical facilities.
Airport Terminals
Architecture and engineering for terminal construction, expansion, and modernization at international and regional airports.
Jetways
Structural and systems engineering for passenger boarding bridges and the gate infrastructure that keeps them moving.
New Manufacturing Plants
Ground-up design for aerospace production facilities, engineered around process lines, cranes, and certification requirements.
Remodeling Existing Manufacturing Facilities
Modifications and expansions designed around live production, so upgrades happen without shutting the floor down.
Cranes
Design and evaluation of overhead cranes, runway beams, and support structures for heavy aerospace loads.
Central Plant Heating and Cooling
Central plant design sized for campuses and production environments where climate control is part of the process.
Infrastructure Improvements
Site, utility, and structural upgrades that keep aging facilities current with demand and code.
Facility Maintenance
Ongoing engineering support that keeps mission-critical facilities operating, inspected, and documented.
Back In Production after a Fire.
When an industrial fire halted a long-term aerospace client's production in Southern California, damaging their building, cranes, and process lines, PEI led the recovery: design, municipal coordination, and construction management, with temporary process and material handling equipment keeping production running throughout restoration.
The project demanded seamless collaboration among PEI's construction management, architectural, structural, and electrical engineering teams. Having multiple disciplines under one roof at our firm made it possible.
