Project Spotlight

Automotive Manufacturing Facility

PEI provided engineering for a new steel frame manufacturing building constructed in place of an existing facility, including a new foundation and slab on grade designed around new process equipment. The scope spanned structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering and construction documents for a building supporting a 40-ton crane and a new equipment foundation with an 18-foot pit and steel support system, along with a reconfigured underground scrap conveyor and a new conveying system with access walkway.

PEI coordinated directly with the pre-fabricated steel building and crane manufacturers to ensure the project came together as one working system, not a set of separate contracts.
